AGM

Keeping track of our progress

With our organisation’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies

for safe, empowering use of the local space.

This year our Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in early December via Zoom. We discussed the year's challenges

and looked forward to celebrating our successes with the community at next year's annual Fun Day.

While 2020 has been an unusual and difficult year due to COVID, it was also the year that we managed to get

the park building re-opened! We’ve had to change our plans a lot this year including cancelling our annual Fun Day,

but we’ve kept up a presence in the park by meeting on the first Saturday of every month since August.

In addition, we have managed to secure our largest ever grant from the Cleaner Greener Safer fund,

to make further improvements to the park’s facilities, as requested by local families.

These improvements include re-surfacing under the picnic tables, putting two new picnic tables in with shade,

a working water fountain, replacing the old table tennis tables putting up two Notice Boards

– one at each end of the path on the gates – and painting the old blue benches.

We are also excited to announce that we have secured funding from the National Lottery
to continue the creative workshops for local children which we ran during the Summer holidays of 2018.

Our committee also meets every 6 weeks to discuss upcoming plans and progress.
